In a post lockdown world with Covid19 on the ropes, we just wanna go to the bloody beach!

"The Entirely Unremarkable World of The Jimmy C" was recorded during Melbourne’s first Covid19 lockdown and came out last month, and after so many months of being stuck indoors with the seemingly never ending winter and grey skies, the thought of getting away must be on all our minds.

We need sunshine and beaches and palm trees and drinks with little umbrellas in them.
STAT!

This song just popped into my head in late September, and after I wrote more generic “good time sunshine” lyrics to replace the original miserable Covid19 specific lyrics, the song was just begging to go out into the world and see the sunshine.

“Clear Blue Skies” seems to be coming from a similar place to David Lee Roth’s Just Like Paradise, or Van Halen’s Panama, it’s just dumb fun rock and roll celebrating our ability to go on holidays and sit on a beach!

This song isn’t trying to win awards, tell a story or give you deep, meaningful feels. It’s about stomping your foot in time and planning to get the hell out of here and go somewhere tropical.

To hell with the 9 to 5 grind ... steal a convertible (or rent one, The Jimmy C does not condone theft) , crank up the classic rock station and head to the beach!
